  3. It should be beautiful – Whatever your definition may be, your pen is an extension of you and your personality and should reflect that in a way that you enjoy — and in a way that projects the image you want others to see. There’s a reason people covet fancy, expensive pens. This IS that reason.
  4. It should have a long-lasting refill cartridge that is easy to find – The worst thing in the pen world is to find the perfect pen and have to put it away because you can’t find the proper refills, or because the refills are so expensive you don’t dare use it too often. This is something you will use many times every day, so you need to make sure you have selected a pen that will be easy to keep full of ink and at the ready.

Once you have selected your perfect pen, trash all the disposables you have lying around and find a place to keep your pen so it’s always ready to use. If you are a woman, find a special place in your purse, bag or in the case that holds your tablet (paper or computer variety) that you have with you constantly to hold the pen. If you are a man, find a place in your attache, your messenger bag,or  your notebook/tablet.

A good pen is a joy. If you have one, you will never want to use a cheap one again. You will also take care never to let your pen be misplaced. A good pen is worth the upkeep.
