5 ways to market your real estate business differently in 2017

kw_real_estate_promotional_products_v3Here at BestPrintBuy, we’re big believers in the old standbys of real estate marketing. But we also know that you have to keep up with the times, in order to generate leads and connect with prospects more effectively. This list includes some of our old favorites, as well as up-and-coming marketing ideas. Hopefully you’ll find something new to spark your imagination and help your business grow:

  1. Leverage the power of the local group. LinkedIn, Chamber of Commerce, and local networking organizations are all classic ways to stay connected to the local community, but technology has made it easier than ever to connect on a more personal level. Meetup.com and local Facebook groups both offer great opportunities to meet and speak with people in your area. Just make sure that you don’t bring up your business too often, and that you participate authentically in the groups as well.

  1. Give a real estate car magnet a try. It might feel cheesy at first, but look at it this way: every single time you take a client out to view a house, you’re advertising your business to the whole neighborhood.

  1. Market yourself to other real estate agents. Competition isn’t the only way to win. Seek out agents who complement you in target markets and business style, so that when they have a client they can’t, or don’t have time to, work with, you’ll be there to take the referral (and vice versa).

  1. Hand out promotional products at a neighborhood parade. Small towns love a good parade, for almost any reason: Labor Day, Mardi Gras, Halloween, community homecoming, St. Patrick’s Day, Fourth of July, etc. Whether you sponsor a float or just walk in the parade, make sure to hand out plenty of pens, can coolers, and jar openers. It’s a fun way to show your community pride, and a great way to promote yourself as the go-to realtor for the area.

  1. Try out a new social media platform. Social media is an ever-evolving phenomenon, and if you try to keep up with everything, you’ll be completely overwhelmed. But you also shouldn’t completely ignore it, either. As new platforms are developed and gain in popularity, give them a (brief) try. The most effective social media tool is the one that you find fun and easy to use – that’s the only way you’ll be able to use it consistently enough to connect with prospects.
